Kicking off the fall season, Kelmscott Park hosted its KP Block Party last Sunday, Sept. 16. Blue skies and beautiful 75-degree weather provided the perfect backdrop for a fun-filled afternoon that brought more than 100 partygoers to downtown Lake Forest.
Franklin Place and Laurel Avenue were blocked off as attendees flooded the streets for a variety of activities and entertainment.
The Smoking Fish kept the adults on their feet with crowd-pleasing tunes, while youngsters jumped on the moon bounce, got their faces painted by ChiTwist, and played game after game of pop-a-shot and Giant Jenga.
Of course, no great block party is complete without great food and refreshments. Between sipping on beer and wine from Lake Bluff Brewery, the crowd enjoyed mouthwatering bites from La Cocinita Mexican Food Truck, Left Bank Food Cart and Depidy Dawg Ice Cream Truck.

Kelmscott Park will play host again this upcoming Thursday, October 4th where we will be joined by a panel including Tom’s Price, and Cheryl Souder Interior Design to explore the benefits and challenges of home design for move-down buyers. The event is open to the public, but space is limited so please RSVP here.
